JAQUITTA'S JOURNEY: Read Her Blog

I thought I'd write a quick blog before taking my 3 to 4 hour nap.

Radiation has finally kicked in and it makes me incredibly tired. The doctors mentioned fatigue, and I'm experiencing it.

To bottom line it: I feel tired the majority of the time. However, I only have a few days left before it's all over. The countdown is on! The only side note is that doctors have warned me that even though the radiation will be over in a few days, I may still feel the effects 2 months after. So, Happy Joy, joy right?

Anyway, I try to sleep as much as I can. I will admit working and getting treatment is wearing on me a bit, but if it gets to be too much I just have to back off.

I have to accept the fact that my extra pounds are still holding on. I've been told it comes off gradually, that the chemo med's are still kicking in my body and that's part of the reason why it's not coming off as rapidly as I'd like.

In Highlander, function, not flash

The redesigned Toyota Highlander needs to transport and entertain youngsters, swallow cargo, and conquer snow. It needs to be safe, comfortable, and luxurious, and it needs to do all these things without breaking the bank - in car payments or at the pump. A tall order, but the leading midsize SUV competitors really have gotten that good.

The Highlander makes the grade on all counts, though it doesn't excel in any one area. Provided it can maintain its outstanding resale value and reliability, it should prove a smart - if not particularly captivating - choice for years to come.

Base, Sport, and Limited trim levels come with front- or four-wheel drive.

Toyota's California design studios sculpted the exterior, which is bigger in all major dimensions than the old Highlander.

Judge Torpedoes Navy with Sonar Reg, Seattle P-I Doesn't Note Clinton ...

So either the Bush administration or the navy or both don't seem to see this as that high a priority or they would have formed said committee. But then I'm sure the media would have these up everywhere:

And then the hue and cry would be to get the navy to move to other training areas otherwise it would be a PR fiasco.

You're barking up the wrong tree, it would be up to Congress and not some federal judge to change the law.

The big debate: Domestic partnership equality

More human rights and counseling services are needed, not laws defining relationships.

If they would put their efforts into making education, human rights and the economy a priority, the US might be able to regain it's once proud stature as a leader of the world.

Saving Seabirds

The Ministry of Fisheries (MFish) has published proposals outlining best practices for lessening the likelihood of fishing-related seabird deaths. These would apply to all trawl and longline vessels.

Seabird species globally are facing a number of threats, both at their breeding sites and when they forage at sea. One of the main threats is through fishing activity. In longline fisheries, the baited hooks float on, or just below, the surface for a short time before they start sinking.
